Now, I told you it was a peek... so, that's why you don't get to see the front. I am currently performing an experiment to see if I can get this baby hung, THEN you'll be able to see the front... I've got my fingers crossed! Anyone ever used these sticky suckers on anything other than plates???
I'm really hoping two will work....
So-- have I peaked anyone's interest? If not... check out these gorgeous photos and see how you feel after that!
I only wish I had this many vintage silver trays... I love the patina on these beauties!
This magnet idea is okay... but I'm just loving the look of the trays!
This image has been a favorite of mine for a while now, and I know I've shared it before, but some eye candy can and will be repeated! I mean, look at that perfect space. I adore the collection of vintage silver trays that span the height of the wall in this space.
same space, different view, still PERFECT
Look at this lovely eat-in kitchen. I love how the silver trays downplay the monster vent hood in this space. I think without the collection of vintage silver, the vent hood would look much more harsh.
So, do you love silver platters yet?
So-- I will be sharing more about this little project with you later, don't hold your breathe though, those dang yellow stickies might not work! (I really hope they do... I'm not in the mood to skank-rig something up!) Have a happy Tuesday abode lovers, and keep your fingers crossed for me!

Oh I love the look of those platters on the wall. Hope the stickies do the job for you!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the other side! Gosh, those images of vintage silver trays are beauties!
ReplyDeleteI have some of these exact photos saved for inspiration as well! I love the look of the grouping of vintage trays. I'm anxious to see if those sticky holders actually work.
ReplyDeleteLOVE!! I have several silver trays from wedding gifts that I unfortunately don't entertain enough to use. Where oh where can I hang them?! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the silver platters on a wall. Now to find some silver platters.... :) I hope the disc hangers work!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I have thought of this idea before but I can never find enough pretty platters in my area thrift stores to have an actualy collection of them:)
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkle of silver and love how they look on a wall! Can't wait to see it hung.
ReplyDeleteLoving this idea. I have some very tarnished silver platters and serving pieces that were found in the attic of our "money pit" house. I've put them aside for now to 'deal' with at a later time.
ReplyDeleteLove silver platters!!!! I have a few, but haven't thought of putting them on the wall. Fingers crossed for you!!
ReplyDeleteXx. Patience
Nice! I have not used those however I am having alot of luck with the 3M velcro for some monogram plates in my girls room that have some weight to them as well as rambucious wall thumping from 2 girls wrestling and playing.
ReplyDeleteThe reveal I'm sure will be awesome..you have great style.

I have heard those Disc holders work pretty well. I have never used them before, but I was thinking about buying some to hang plates. Let me know if they work. Can't wait to see how your plate looks.

I love silver platters. And I love them even more if they are vintage! I can't wait to see how the disc holders work.
ReplyDeleteSorry to be keeping you up late! : ) I love silver platters. My grandmother (who is 94 and has fabulous taste!) wraps them up (and other items from around her house!) and gives them away for Christmas and birthdays. Can't wait to see your beautiful one!
ReplyDeleteI have used the disc holders for a plate wall in my home. One of the plates I used didn't seem to take the adhesive of the discs very well, so I just added some super glue to it and its still holding up on my wall. Can't wait to see how it looks!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! I went through a big plate hanging phase in college (I was born an old woman) and I used those bracket deals. Kind of took away from some of the shapes. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI especially love it as a magnet board!
ReplyDeleteI do love them, always have. I use them throughout my home, to hold the open wine bottle till the next glass, to hold a mirror and perfume bottles in my bedroom. I even use a shallow oval silver bowl to keep the remote controls under control!
