Thank you anthropologie for lighting the fire under my sorry behind this morning.... it would have been a pretty skank Tuesday had it not been for your new merch genius.
Spectrum Narcissus Wallpaper
This wallpaper saved me today. The color, shape, texture in the petals. I adore the rustic reds meshed so closely to the pale mint and purple tones. It's just so unexpected that it has snapped me back into feeling like there is beauty around every corner. Now, where oh where can I paste this wallpaper in my abode???

These tufted beauties are just plain pretty. I love the shape and the low seat on this piece. I admire Anthro for pulling back sometimes and selling something that is simply timeless. Good show anthro, good show.
And back to pretty-painterly. When I saw this I thought, "I could totally do that". And I don't mean to sound like "miss thang" but... I could. So, perhaps I will! I have a plain lamp shade or two that I have saved in my attic just screaming to be used in a special way.
This is for the Auburn Tiger in me.... "A tiger doesn't change it's spots" is what this dishtowel reads. I think this would be so precious to crop in and frame around the embroidery. This would work beautifully in a nursery...
I just love how quirky and graphic this piece feels. It's from the archives of the French textile artist Paule Marrot. The original pencil and acrylic rendering lives in the Paris' Musee d'Orsay. Fancy. Shmancy.
I love this milky set of glassware. The shape of the tea cup is so interesting... and I love the faceted design on the lower portion of each piece. These would be so, so lovely on display.
Wow. I love, love, love this patinaed brass knob. I really love the depth of this little knob as well as the little spheres circling the outermost part of this mum. I can see these pretty little knobs transforming any piece of furniture... lovely!
So, I hope all of you abode lovers are feeling as inspired as I am now. Isn't that a great loot of new items!? I love when the new stuff finally appears. Have an amazing Tuesday!

I always love Anthro! I could wander around that place for hours. Oh, and The Bachelorette...I am so sad about Ames! Probably the most romantic moment on television was that picnic they had. Ugh, darn you Bachelorette!
ReplyDeleteAshley H. is so dumb! I didn't like her when she was on the Bachelor! But I do like this new Anthro merch you're showing off!
ReplyDeleteOh that tiger dishtowel is so cute! Glad anthro lifted your design spirits! :)
ReplyDeleteA. Ames was my FAVORITE! I almost cried for him last night. I hope he comes to the Men Tell All show and is able to say he has found someone special!
ReplyDeleteB. I'm OBSESSED with that chair. I'm sure it's like, a million bucks (okay, not really but it's probably super pricey), so I'm off to search for a knock off!
I am so excited because an Anthropologie is opening right up the street from me! We have one on the Plaza, however this will be perfect (trouble) for me.
ReplyDeleteShopping Therapy is good even if it is looking at the latest in beautiful surroundings!

I totally feel your pain about Ames. He is the sweetest. But I also love Ben (probably partially because he's from Sonoma). Those chairs from Anthro. are perfection in my book.
ReplyDeleteI love those lampshades immensely and the chairs as well. Take care.

anthro is always good to help get the juices going again:)
ReplyDeleteThat knob is gorgeous, I'm having a huge brass moment lately. Ames is awesome and I was so so so sad when she let him go. But at the same time, maybe that's why she's on a tv dating show? Because she doesn't know a good guy when he's right in front of her!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a trip to Anthro was just what you needed!
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage-funk vibe of these pieces. Anthro is the best!! Chic Rooms
ReplyDeleteLaurel - saw a chair very similar at TJ Maxx the other day and thought of you.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think that "penguin" is actually a loon? I know Anthropologie is calling it a penguin but I'm fairly certain only loons have that striped collar, red eye and speckled back. Anyway... I'm sure no one really cares.
ReplyDeleteI was so sad for Ames as well! I could've cried (I'm surprised I didn't!). Anyway, glad the trip to Anthro was just what you needed. I especially love the beautiful knobs. Makes me want to refinish another piece of furniture! : )
